Friends of Rowlett Animals is working WITH the Rowlett Animal Shelter. In other words, we are actually on-site at the City of Rowlett animal shelter, 4402 Industrial St. We assist the Animal Control Officers on the phones, cleaning kennels, sorting donations, walking dogs, cleaning cat crates, and whatever the Shelter Staff needs.

Animal handling:
We are having such a turnover of animals that have not been checked for temperament, health, or vaccinations. So, we must limit volunteer access to handling animals to those who already have City Shelter approval and have been through the City’s or our Shelter Animal Handling Orientations; this is for public safety and the safety of our animals.
Donations at the Shelter:
Thanks to everyone who donated food, blankets, crates & toys that were delivered to the shelter yesterday. However, we are fully stocked until we can start distributing to those in need. Please check back in a few days and we will post current needs or where to donate directly.
Donations to FRAs:
Funds raised are used for animal Adoptions, medical programs include HW treatment, testing, emergencies, surgery, medications, and other vet bills that FRAs covers.
